The Evolution of the iPhone—Starting with the original

Since we’re known as the purveyor of the best iPad 2 cases and covers, we like to stay abreast of upcoming product launches and hear what customers are saying about the rumored new features on both tablets and new iPhones. This helps us to create the best iPad cases, as well superb iPhone 4 cases and covers. With new features on the horizon, we strive to stay on the cutting edge of every bit of news so that we can prepare to adapt our products in ways that will maximize the efficiency of impending technology while providing sturdy protection for these beloved and invaluable devices that we’ve all come to rely on so heavily. Since the new iPhone will be released sometime in the near future, we’re taking a retrospective look back at what this exciting device offered to its first customers.

The original iPhone launched on AT&T with a mere handful of apps that were solely created by Apple. It had a 320×480 resolution and a 2-megapixel camera, and ran iOS 1.0. With a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen, the iPhone offered a sleek new look and a new level of user friendliness. At this point, cases were not half as sturdy as iPhone 4 cases and covers, so over the years the need for an ultra-protective case became a standard that people bought immediately to protect their investment. In fact, back at the iPhone’s first launch, most people didn’t even have covers for their delicate phone. Remember, this was at a time when iPads and the best iPad accessories were just a figment in someone’s imagination.

The original iPhone was a landmark device that literally put technology at our fingertips, providing access to the internet and communication in a powerful way that is still unrivalled. Its multifaceted functions paved the way for a new wave of Blackberries and other competitors, as well as Apple’s premier tablets, the iPad and iPad 2. This created a demand for a plethora of apps and a huge demand for people looking to buy iPad accessories.

This burgeoning product line also stimulated our economy like no other—iPhone 4 cases and covers continue to be top sellers and the current demand for iPad2 cases and covers has still not died down. This also opened up a market for a whole new array of stylish options, such as leather iPad cases and covers and other colorful options for toting, standing and viewing. As we await the new device launches, we can look forward to technology getting easier and more fun to explore.
