Before there was a need for iPhone 4 cases and covers, there was the revolutionary device’s predecessor: the iPhone 3G. With rumors that the iPhone 5 is around the corner, devotees are getting excited about the prospects for new features and apps and consuming the latest rumors. If you look back at Apple's second generation iPhone, you’ll see that, throughout the device’s evolution, there have been huge strides in capabilities and efficiency. The second model, the iPhone 3, set the bar for technological advances, including tablets. Before we knew it, the demand for iPad cases and covers increased as tablets became commonplace and we became the premier purveyors. Now it’s all about iPad 2 cases and covers and before you know it, there will be a need for versions for the next iPad models.
The iPhone 3 debuted in the summer of 2008. The difference between the upgrade and its predecessor was that the upgraded model supported 3G network operability, as well as GPS—hence the name iPhone 3. This device boasted the same amount of memory, processor, type of display and 2.0 megapixel camera. Yet the launch of the 3G was accompanied by iOS version 2.0, which meant a whole new marketplace of apps. The amount of apps increased exponentially with the release of the iPhone 4—and other types of android smartphones. As a result, the demand for iPhone 4 cases and covers and android cases skyrocketed.
Next up were the iPads and tablets from competitors. Customers sought the best iPad accessories available to accessorize and maximize efficiency of the device and the need for sturdy, durable iPad cases and covers grew substantially. Then the iPhone 4 came out with a radical new design and Blackberry users everywhere made the switch. With a 3.5-inch Retina Display, at 960×640 and bearing a 326ppi pixel density, the iPhone 4offers pixels smaller than the human eye can see. Its visual appeal helped it overtake the marketplace.
Soon, the iPad 2 came out, boasting a smaller size and enhanced features and capabilities. At Poetic, we could barely keep iPad 2 cases and covers in stock as customers scurried to get the upgraded device. They continue to clamor for the best iPad accessories as we strive to meet their needs and improve all aspects of the iPad experience.
